ML2300 PolarLux
DESCRIPTION
The compact attenuator ML2300 PolarLux is used as a pre-attenuator for high intensive laser beams. The attenuation method is based on the principle that on optical surfaces a part of the light is reflected. This way of attenuation caused a polarization effect of the laser beam. The s- and p-polarized part of the laser light are unequal attenuated. In the PolarLux two wedges are used, which are arranged orthogonally to each other. The polarization effect is compensated by this arrangement and the incoming laser beam is attenuated neutrally. Frequently the PolarLux is used with neutral density filters to rise down the laser beam intensity to a proper CCD Camera level. Mounting of the filters are at the beam exit possible and they are available as accessory. The standard configuration of the PolarLux is vertical mounted on a rail system. Furthermore the beam entry and exit is equipped with a c-mount thread.
